Department of Audiology

Director MarieAnn Zumpone-Weibley M.S., M.S.Ed., CCC-A

Our staff of New York State licensed and ASHA certified audiologists are highly trained to meet all your audiological needs. They hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Audiology, passed a demanding national competency examination and completed a full-time internship. By virtue of their rigorous education, audiologists are the most qualified professionals to provide audiological services to our patients. In addition to standard licensure requirements each of our audiologists is involved in ongoing continuing education throughout the year.

Audiological Services

Our practice features a comprehensive range of audiological services including adult and pediatric hearing testing, evaluation of tinnitus (ringing in the ears), hearing conservation, aural rehabilitation and diagnostic testing of vertigo and other balance disorders.

Advanced audiological testing includes brainstem evoked response audiometry which is a non-invasive, computerized method of detecting serious inner ear problems. Our state of the art equipment also includes Videonystagmography (VNG) and Dynamic Posturography for the identification of balance disorders related to vertigo or dizziness.

When hearing loss is identified, arrangements can be made for hearing aid evaluations and fittings. A wide variety of options for hearing aids and other assistive listening devices are available.
